Urban Surface Heat View
Trees provide shade and are an important factor in controlling temperatures within an urban environment. Explore the City of Escondido heat map below, to learn which parts of the City could use additional trees.
Trees help clean our air and water. They can absorb odors and filter pollution out of the air by trapping it within their leaves and bark. Their foliage absorbs and filters rainwater, which helps slow down storm water runoff during rainstorms.
