Government Code Section 50050, et.seq. provides that unclaimed monies which remain in the treasury or in the custody of the officers of a local agency for three (3) years may become the property of the agency. At the end of the three-year period those items in excess of $15 are published as notification that the money will become the property of the agency if left unclaimed; items under $15 need not be published.

If you have determined that the City may be holding funds belonging to yourself or business follow the instructions located in the claim form below. Required claim information includes name, address, telephone number, amount of claim and grounds on which the claim is founded. Once the claim is submitted, the Finance Department will determine what, if any, additional information is necessary.
