County of San Diego COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program
The County of San Diego Emergency Rental Assistance Program provides grants of up to $3,000 to cover rent for eligible households financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Application period is open from December 1, 2020 until funds are expended.

- Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, HUD has issued and the City of Escondido is availing itself of two waivers to rapidly respond to the current crisis: to reduce the required public comment period for substantial amendments to 5 days and to allow alternative opportunities, including virtual meetings, for public comment. The public may continue to make comments regarding the City’s use of CDBG, ESG or HOME funds by phone or email to Karen Youel, Housing and Neighborhood Services Manager at KYouel@escondido.org or 760-839-4518. These waivers will be available through June 30, 2021. The amended plan published on 5/13/2020.
