POLICE DEPARTMENT UPDATES:

Congratulations Lieutenant Damian Jackson

The Police Department welcomed back Lieutenant Damian Jackson, who graduated from the 289th Session of the FBI National Academy.

The FBI National Academy is a rigorous, 10-week, executive leadership program, held at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Less than 1% of the nation’s law enforcement leaders are accepted into this prestigious, graduate-level program through the University of Virginia, which provides advanced investigative, management and leadership development for law enforcement leaders from around the world. Since its inception in 1935, the FBI National Academy has graduated more than 50,000 law enforcement professionals from all 50 states and 170 countries. The graduation was attended by Chief Ed Varso (a graduate of the 267th Session) and presented by FBI Director Chris Wray.

Welcome Officer Sanchez

EPD also welcomed the newest member of our Department, Officer Adrian Sanchez, who came to us as a lateral from the Riverside Sheriff’s Department. He was sworn in by Chief Varso on April 3rd and will be assigned to our Patrol Division, starting on Monday April, 8th. We are glad to have him and his family now a part of ours!
