The Parks & Open Space Section cares for and maintains the City's parks, median and parkway landscaping, open spaces, street trees, and the landscaping at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido with an emphasis on tree trimming and vegetation control as part of a citywide beautification effort. The Section works in the acquisition, planning, and construction of new park facilities, open space, and street right-of-way landscaping.
