Update: Lake Wohlford Road Closure

The contractor working to stabilize the bluffs overlooking Lake Wohlford Road has begun loading in the equipment needed to repair the compromised slopes from this month’s record-breaking rain.They estimate 2-3 weeks of work needs to be completed to make the area stable and safe.In the meantime, we ask all drivers to observe the traffic control measures in place to ensure public safety and allow the contractor to complete the emergency project as soon as possible.Thank you for your continued cooperation and patience.

Thank you volunteers! This past weekend was the first Dixon Lake Pick Up Project. A total of 9 volunteers picked up 50 lbs. of trash that included fishing line, bottles and cans. These pickups will be held monthly. To learn more about volunteer opportunities in Escondido, visit:
