San Diego County Water Authority Direct Install Program (SDCWA) the program aims to increase water conservation through no cost to the customer. 

THE WATERSMART CONTRACTOR INCENTIVE PROGRAM FOR COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL, AGRICULTURAL, AND INSTITUTION CUSTOMERS

REBATES are currently available on select devices that can help residents and businesses save water. All programs are handled on a first-come, first-served basis until the limited funding is exhausted.

SDG&E also offers rebates for residences and for businesses.

FREE EVALUATIONS of single-family homes, multi-family, commercial, public and industrial buildings are available. See the descriptions below and visit Water Use Survey to learn more.

For Single-Family Customers – Free professional evaluations designed to assist residential customers with the identification of indoor and outdoor water savings opportunities. Residential surveys may be conducted in-person or virtually. Technicians will:

  • Evaluate the performance of the site's irrigation system and indoor devices.
  • Provide a list of recommendations, including a proposed irrigation schedule.
  • Provide information about available financial incentives to help with the cost of improvements. 

For Commercial and Multi-Family Customers – Free on-site evaluations of commercial, industrial, institutional and multi-family properties that will identify water-saving opportunities for the site. Property owners/managers can then decide if, when and how to implement the recommendations. At the appointment, technicians will:

  • Conduct a comprehensive review of the irrigation system. 
  • Provide recommendations to improve irrigation efficiency.
  • Provide information about available financial incentives to help with the cost of improvements.
