There are no fires burning in Escondido any longer.  The Escondido fire appears to have started accidentally due to an electrical problem or combustion of chemicals in a shed at 2183 Bear Valley Parkway.  The fire was limited to approximately 1 acre and damage was  limited to one mobile home, one car and one outbuilding, although nearby homes also sustained damage to fences, eaves, etc.

There is a fire burning in the hills behind Cal State San Marcos which has been evacuated.

Interstate 15 is closed in both directions at Highway 76.

Sprinter and Coaster are running normally.
