Exercise Your Mind this summer and challenge yourself, your friends, and your family during the Escondido Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge from June 13 – July 31, 2016. Children, teens, and adults read to earn prizes donated by local business partners and attend free craft programs and special events to stay mentally and physically active over the summer.   • An Evening with Author Neal Griffin: Police Lieutenant turned crime action thriller author, Escondido's own Neal Griffin has been celebrated by critics and readers for his realistic and action packed novels Benefit of the Doubt and A Voice from the Field. July 26 at 6 p.m.
