Escondido’s City parks, including Dixon and Wohlford Lakes, and Daley Ranch offer a variety of amenities for the community to enjoy the outdoors.  Through August 18, the Recreation division offers youth, ages 6 to 14, the opportunity of participating in the POWER Mobile Recreation program held at Grove Park on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The POWER Mobile Recreation program is free and engages children and teens in assorted games, sports, and arts & craft projects. POWER Mobile Recreation is a great place for youth to make new friends in a safe environment led by our positive and professional recreation staff.

Escondido Public Library’s Summer Reading Clubs encourage reading for fun and relaxation. . This year’s theme is “Read to the Rhythm!” Register by July 20 to participate, earn reading incentive prizes and join the fun!
