The Escondido Fire Department will be hosting a multi-agency training event at the vacant Palomar/Pomerado Healthcare building located at 343 E Second Avenue in Escondido. The training will take place on October 26, 27 and 28, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Approximately 10 fire engines and truck companies along with Chief Officers will participate in the training exercises that focus on entrapped firefighter rescue tactics and command/control procedures when firefighters are injured or trapped during a fire. This training will provide a realistic experience using a vacant building, theatrical smoke and fire equipment.
Palomar/Pomerado Healthcare's commitment to the safety of our community and first responders by offering the use of their facility is greatly appreciated.
Participating agencies include firefighters from Escondido, San Marcos, Carlsbad, Vista, Oceanside, Valley Center, Camp Pendleton, Deer Springs, Pala, Rincon, North County, San Pasqual and Cal Fire.
