Escondido's water use figures for April 2013 were unfortunately misreported to the State Water Quality Control Board.  This error has led to further incorrect reports that Escondido's water use increased by 20% in April 2015 compared to April 2013. In actuality, Escondido‚Äôs water use decreased by 11%.

 

The correct figures are:

Water Use in April 2013 = 1,918 acre-feet

Water Use in April 2015 = 1,711 acre-feet

Water Use Percentage Change = 11% DECREASE
