Escondido, CA - Escondido Public Library is pleased to announce the scheduled performers for its 2015–2016 2nd Saturday Concert Series. These free concerts will be held on the second Saturday of each month from October 2015 through May 2016 in the Library’s Turrentine Room from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.

Mandobasso – a duo on mandolin and bass

The season opens with Flamenco Artists, an exciting combination of flamenco music and dance. Performers include guitarist, Juan Moro, singer Reyes Barrios, and dancers Erika Lopez, and Makiko. Their selection provides cultural background for KPBS’ 2015 One Book, One San Diego selection, Carlos Ruiz Zafon’s The Shadow of the Wind. In November, The Gilbert Castellanos Trio will play jazz standards as well as contemporary and original songs. They will be followed in December by Courtly Noyse whose Holiday concert draws inspiration from Renaissance music. 

The 2nd Saturday Concert Series is free, open to the public, and generously sponsored by Friends of the Escondido Public Library.
