Cruisin’ Grand in Downtown Escondido

One of the greatest ongoing traditions in San Diego County, this free, family-friendly event features hundreds of 1973 and earlier American-made hot rods, customs, cruisers and more.

Team Presentation Gala - Escondido Out Front

Kick off the Amgen Tour of California in style at the opening gala. The gala features the official presentation of the teams, wine tasting, entertainment and a silent auction. This is a must attend event!

Celebrate the beginning of an epic weekend in Escondido. For $20 you will enjoy DJ Captain Morgan spinning the latest hits, one complementary drink, delicious snacks and get pumped for the race with our community!

L’Etape du California

L’Etape du California challenges riders of all abilities to complete a stage of the 2013 Amgen Tour of California. This ride provides amateur cyclists quite a unique experience, challenging participants to ride the overall start and Stage 1: the “Escondido out and back course.” The courses will be long and difficult but fully supported with fluids and nutrition. While many riders will be satisfied by merely finishing the route, others will be able to compete for the title of King and Queen of the Mountain on the timed climbs of the route.

Escondido Bike Safety Rodeo

When: Saturday, May 11, 2013, 8:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.
Cost: Free

Join us in celebrating the return of the Amgen Tour of California as well as bike month by participating in this FREE children's bike safety rodeo. The US Army and Bike Bling have volunteered to ensure that our local youth have the proper equipment as well as the skills needed to ride safely. Kids from ages 5-12 are invited to participate in fun skills exercises, courses, and games. To take part in this event please be sure each child brings his or her own bike and helmet to 1315 East Valley Parkway (East Valley Parkway & Harding Street).
