Next Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 6 – 8 p.m., city officials will hold a community meeting to discuss options for managing parking in Escondido’s historic downtown. The goal of this effort is to optimize parking availability for customers of downtown businesses and events. The meeting will be held in the Mitchell Room at Escondido City Hall, 201 North Broadway.

Traffic engineering staff will present findings from recent research on downtown Escondido parking patterns and share information about other cities’ successful parking management strategies, including paid parking. This is an opportunity to provide input to the City, and downtown Escondido merchants and patrons of downtown Escondido businesses and events are especially encouraged to attend.
