Escondido Recreation is gearing up for their busy summer aquatics season with a variety of opportunities to make families safe in and around the water. The month of June marks the start of Learn to Swim Lessons and Open Swim. These exciting activities are held at both James A. Stone and Washington Park pools from June until mid-August. Escondido Recreation Aquatics encourages people of all ages to practice their swimming techniques, beat the heat, spend time with their families, and have fun at Escondido pools.
On June 11th from 12:00 p.m. To 3:00 p.m., the Community Services department will host a Summer Kickoff Event at Washington Park as a fun start to the Open Swim and summer season of classes and programs. The event will be fun for the whole family with class demonstrations, information booths, arts, crafts, and more. Open Swim will officially begin at 2:00 p.m.
