Did you know that drowning is the leading cause of injury death for San Diego County children between the ages of one to four years old, with about 70 percent of these drownings occurring in residential swimming pools and spas? Drowning is preventable.
Escondido Recreation is hosting an "April Pools Day" event on Saturday, April 7th at Washington Park Pool to kick off May as National Drowning Prevention month.
