Kick off National Drowning Prevention Month with Escondido Recreation on Saturday, April 7 with "April Pools Day.”  All ages are invited to attend this FREE community safety event from 9 AM – 12 PM at Washington Park Pool, located at 501 N Rose Street in Escondido. 

Participants will learn how to be safe in and around water through a variety of activities aimed at teaching water safety.  Events will include a FREE swim lesson, swim with a Navy Seal, and other lifesaving techniques.  Escondido Lifeguards and Fire Department will be on-site to demonstrate a real-time water rescue.  There will also be a safety fair, where participants can gather tons of helpful pool safety tips and beneficial information!

You will not want to miss "April Pools Day!"  The event will conclude with an in water egg hunt for the kids!  Don't be late, the event starts promptly at 9 AM and space is limited.  For more information contact 760-839-4204.
