Do you have a job line?

Yes, we do have a job line. That number is 760-839-4585. We update the job line every time we open a new position.

May I leave an application or resume on file?

No, instead we have a job interest card system. We keep the cards on file for a period of one year. You will be notified if the particular position opens within that time.

If you need a job interest card filled out for you, please submit the exact title of the position you are interested in, and your name and address. A card will be filled out by our staff on site for you. Please direct your e-mail to personnel@escondido.org, or call 760-839-4643.

Do you have a listing of current job openings?

Yes, visit our Employment page.

Job Descriptions (NOTE: These are not open jobs but rather a listing of all jobs that are within the City of Escondido's organization.) If you are interested in any of these positions, you can submit a job interest card that will be kept on file until the position is opened for recruitment. You will be notified when that position is open.

Also, we have a clipboard in the Human Resources lobby with job descriptions we receive from other cities and agencies such as the School District. If you are interested in any of these positions, you must go to the particular agency advertising the job to receive an application form.

Do you have part-time jobs available?

If you are interested in any part-time positions, you will need to go to the specific department that you are interested in, or some positions may be posted on the Web site. The Human Resources Department only conducts full-time recruitments. However, if you need phone numbers to any of the City departments, feel free to give us a call at 760-839-4643.
