Juneteenth Conversation
Cassandra Schaeg, Founder of SIP Wine & Beer and Host of the upcoming KPBS series Fresh Glass, is bringing awareness to Juneteenth with a conversation at Escondido City Hall. Iris Rideau, the first Creole Winemaker in the United States, will share her story and release her memoir, From White to Black One Life between Two Worlds, on June 18, from 4 - 6 p.m. at Escondido City Hall.
The City of Escondido is proud to partner with SIP and Fresh Glass to bring this important conversation to our community. Both Ms. Rideau and Ms. Schaeg demonstrate leadership and perseverance in the sometimes-challenging entrepreneurship space. Escondido values all our business owners, and I know that this conversation will inspire many for years to come, says Sean McGlynn, Escondido City Manager.
Tickets are on sale for purchase at Juneteenth Conversation: HERstory with Iris Rideau.
