Escondido Library announces the new 2nd Saturday Concert Series season with a monthly line-up of jazz, classical, and folk performances in the Library’s Turrentine Room November 2016 through May 2017. These concerts take place on the second Saturday of each month from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. and are free to the public thanks to the generous sponsorship of Friends of the Escondido Public Library. The series opens November 12, 2016 with Cuban Salsa and Timba music by the Q-Ban Street Band with Special Guest Maritza Baida who will also provide dance instruction. Don’t miss the holiday concert performed by the San Diego Chamber Music Society Brass Quartet on December 10, 2016. Future performances will feature the Peter Sprague Trio, San Diego Opera’s community engagement program, Opera Exposed!,  Bluegrass, Contemporary Jazz, and piano and violin virtuosos performing classical music.
