  1. Click the RSS Feeds RSS Icon button to view feeds on the Web page.
  2. Click Subscribe to this feed.
  3. Type a name for the feed and select the folder to create the feed in.
  4. Click the Add to Favorites Bar check box.
  5. Click Subscribe.
  6. To view subscribed feeds, click the browser's Favorites button, then click the Feeds tab.

Escondido is now a part of  the Unified Command for the Cocos fire.  The Incident Command Post for the Cocos Fire is still at Cal State San Marcos. The establishment of Cal Fire’s base camp at Kit Carson Park is progressing well.

 

At this point it has been confirmed that one home and two outbuildings on Mount Whitney Drive in the unincorporated area of the County were destroyed.  No homes have been lost within the city limits.

 

Schools in Escondido will be closed again on Friday, May 16, 2014.

 

The Evacuation Center at Escondido High  approximately 160 evacuees there as well as many small and large animals.

 

Escondido Police Department continues to  maintain security at the evacuation center and in evacuated areas.
