Government Access Television
Escondido has its own cable television station inside City Hall—The Escondido Channel, Channel 19. Programming includes City Council meetings and select special events either sponsored or co-sponsored by the City, and informational videos highlighting City services and programs.
Mission Statement
The Escondido Channel serves the people of Escondido by providing accurate information about policies, services, and activities of city government and to stimulate and encourage all people representing Escondido's diverse communities to involve themselves in local government issues and the local government process.
Programming
Escondido City Council meetings can be seen live on Wednesday, starting at 4:00 p.m. Replays can be seen on Sunday and Monday starting at 6:00 p.m.
"Escondido Focus," the Community Bulletin Board, can be seen daily from midnight to 6:00 a.m., and on Sundays and Mondays, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Escondido, English!, a collaborative project offering basic English-language instruction for Escondido residents, can be seen can be seen daily from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m., Noon to 1:00 p.m. AND on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., AND Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; AND at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
