On Track After School Program - Destination: Recreation, Education Get On Track before and/or after school to enjoy fun activities like indoor/outdoor games, homework assistance, sports, arts & crafts, special events, and much, much more!

Two exciting On Track Programs are offered, depending on which school your child attends. See below for program locations and specifics!

FOR CHILDREN ATTENDING CONWAY, FARR, JUNIPER, ROCK SPRINGS, AND OAK HILL ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS:

The On Track Before & After School Program and 21st Century Community Learning Center is FREE to all students. Children must attend a minimum of 3 days a week to be eligible for this program. Children who don't attend 3 days per week will be dropped from the program. Children must attend the school where the programs are held.

Farr Elementary School

Afternoon: End of school until 6:00 p.m.

Juniper Elementary School
V.P.A. Rm.
Morning: 6:30 a.m.–8:00 a.m.
Afternoon: End of school until 6:00 p.m.

Rock Springs Elementary School
Multipurpose Rm.
Morning: 6:30 a.m.–8:00 a.m.
Afternoon: End of school until 6:00 p.m.

Oak Hill Elementary
Multipurpose Rm.
Morning: 6:30 a.m.–8:00 a.m.
Afternoon: End of school until 6:00 p.m.

Program is closed on all Federal, State and school holidays, and minimum days.

To Register

Complete an application for enrollment to be considered into the program. Applications are available at the East Valley Community Center. Mail the completed application to the East Valley Community Center – On Track, 2245 E. Valley Parkway, Escondido, CA 92027. The capacity of each site varies depending upon funding. If space is not available, your child may be placed on a waiting list.

FOR CHILDREN ATTENDING NORTH BROADWAY AND REIDY CREEK ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS:

The On Track After School Program is a drop-in recreational program that provides afternoons full of funtivities such as outdoor sports and games, indoor activities, dedicated homework time, arts and crafts, and special events. In a safe, supervised environment, children are lead through these activities by our professionally trained staff who encourage the development of positive self-esteem and social growth for every student. Children must attend school where the program is offered.

North Broadway Elementary School
Room 34
Begins when students are released for the day until 6:00 p.m.

Reidy Creek Elementary School
Multipurpose Rm.
Begins when students are released for the day until 6:00 p.m.

Program is closed on all Federal, State and school holidays, and minimum days.

NOTE: Drop-In means the children are encouraged to participate and stay in the program, but they are not forced to do so. Parents will convey their personal wishes to their children and site leaders. This is not a licensed childcare program.

Fee and Scholarship Information

The fee is $8.00 per day/child. You may pay by check, cash, VISA, or MasterCard. Prepayment is encouraged, using a Mail-In Payment Voucher.

Share a Dream Scholarships are offered to ensure that all children have the opportunity to participate in the program. Application packets are available in English* and Spanish* online or at the On Track sites, the Community Services Department in City Hall, or the East Valley Community Center.

USE THE EASY MONTHLY MAIL-IN PAYMENT VOUCHER

  1. Pick up a Mail-In Payment Voucher at the On Track after school program site or the EVCC.

  2. Complete and include your payment of $160.00 for 20 visits, or the amount you wish to pay.

  3. Payment methods include check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, and cash (only accepted when dropping off a payment; use exact change, please). Make checks/money orders payable to "City of Escondido."

  4. Mail or drop off Mail-In Payment Voucher, with full payment to:

    Attn: On Track

Mail-In Payment Vouchers are not accepted at the On Track sites. Scholarship recipients may also use the Mail-In Payment Vouchers.

To Register

Complete a registration form to attend. Registration forms are available from the recreation leaders at the On Track sites, the East Valley Community Center, or the Community Services Department in City Hall. Return the completed form with payment to the recreation leaders at the On Track sites, the East Valley Community Center (2245 E. Valley Parkway), or the Community Services Department in City Hall (201 N. Broadway). Once the registration form and payment is received, your child may begin attending the program.
