The Real Property Division administers the City's Real Property program to insure that the City's real property assets are maintained appropriately and right of way needs are met.  The Division negotiates and purchases all property necessary for Capital Improvement Projects and disposes any surplus property remaining upon completion of the project. The Division provides support to the various Divisions within the City for those issues involving right of way such as deeds, easements, leases and rights of entry.

The Division oversees the leasing and maintenance of City-owned property that is leased to both public and private entities. This includes establishing rental rates that reflect the current market and making adjustments for changes in the marketplace. The Real Property Division maintains the inventory of all City properties and updates it annually.

The City has an active wireless leasing program and works with all the major wireless companies to provide locations and competitive rates in order to provide excellent reception for the local users. The Real Property Division coordinates the leasing of these sites by preparing the leases, helping on the site selection, and coordinating with the other Divisions involved in this complex process.
