The Parks and Open Space Section cares for and maintains the City's parks, median and parkway landscaping, open spaces, street trees, and the landscaping at various City facilities with an emphasis on tree trimming and vegetation control as part of a citywide beautification effort.

The Section assists in the acquisition, planning, and construction of new park facilities, open space, and street right-of-way landscaping.
