Sand Bags Available to Residents
Escondido residents may obtain up to 6 free sand bags at the following locations: Escondido Sand & Gravel / Escondido Asphalt located at 500 Tulip Street and Inland Valley Materials located at 14080 San Pasqual Valley Road.
Additionally, free sand and bags are available in Kit Carson Park, near the Amphitheater, but you must bring your own shovel to fill the bags yourself.

- Supplemental Parking Opportunities/Driveway Extensions
On April 22, 2009, the City Council adopted Ordinance 2009-14 to expand parking opportunities within the side yard areas of the front yard, between the approved driveway and closest interior side yard, in specified locations within all residential zones. - Travel Advisory
Escondido City officials are advising residents to take alternate routes or allow extra time when traveling on southbound 1-15 due to road construction being performed by CALTRANS. Traffic congestion and delays are to be expected at ALL southbound on-ramps in Escondido due to work being done at the Lake Hodges bridges and northward.
