City of Escondido

The City received three awards at the10th Annual San Diego County Affordable Housing and Community Development Recognition Awards:

• Outstanding Local Government Supporter
• John Craven Memorial Award – presented to Beverly Peterka, Housing Manager
• Housing Project of the Year (Less than 50 units) – presented to Orange Place Apartments

City Clerk

• Marsha Whalen – received the 2005 President's Award of Distinction for Organization, Administration and Communications from the City Clerk's Association of California.

City Council

• Mayor Lori Holt Pfeiler – received the Distinguished Leadership Award from the San Diego Chapter of the American Planning Association.
