How to Participate

1. Pick up a print or audio copy of The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros at a public library, school, Bookcrossing.com or local bookstore. 
    
2. Read or listen to your book.
    
3. Encourage your friends to read it so you can discuss it together. During February and March, readers will be gathering all over Escondido to share their thoughts about the story. Click here to learn how to host your own book discussion.
    
4. Attend one of the many events listed here on the website.  There’s something for everyone to celebrate or learn about living in two cultures!
