A Dedication Ceremony for the station will include comments by Mayor Sam Abed and Fire Chief Mike Lowry, as well as a “push in” ceremony, an old fire service tradition of pushing the fire apparatus into the station. Officially known as a “housing ceremony,” this tradition dates back to the 19^th century when apparatus was horse drawn.  Following the ceremony guided tours of the new station will be available until noon.
