FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

At its June 5, 2013 meeting, the Escondido City Council voted to end a one-year pilot program that allowed businesses to use advertising feather flags and temporary portable signs. As a courtesy to business owners, the City allowed a “grace period” until September 1, 2013 after which all feather flags and temporary portable signs were to be removed from display except those flags/signs displaying a special event sign permit sticker. Businesses that have not removed their feather flags/portable signs risk receiving a Notice of Violation from the Code Enforcement Division.

Please call Code Enforcement at 760-839-4650 if you have questions about this issue.
