At the State of the City presentation each February, the Escondido City Council recognizes individuals who have improved the quality of life in the community through volunteer service. Nominations are solicited for these awards in October of the previous year.
If you know of an Escondido resident who has made a significant impact to the community, a City Council Awards nomination form will be made available to you on this page in October. Categories include, but are not limited to: Arts, Business, Charity, Community Beautification, Compassion, Education, Heroism, Historic Preservation, and Youth. In October, this page will also be updated with information about submitting award nominations.
A sub-committee of the City Council reviews all nominations and makes its final award selections in December. The awards are then presented at the Annual State of the City presentation, held in the City Council Chambers.
