At the State of the City presentation each January, the Escondido City Council recognizes individuals who have improved the quality of life in the community through volunteer service. Nominations are solicited for these awards in September of the previous year.
If you know of an Escondido resident who has made a significant impact to the community, a City Council Awards nomination form will be made available to you on this page in September. Categories include, but are not limited to: Arts, Business, Charity, Community Beautification, Cultural Awareness, Education, Environment, Heroism, Historic Preservation and Youth. In September this page will also be updated with information about submitting award nominations.
A subcommittee of the City Council reviews all nominations and makes its final award selections in December. The awards are then presented at the Annual State of the City presentation, held in the City Council Chambers.
