6.                  REOPEN UPAS STREET ACCESS TO AND FROM NINTH AVENUE Request Council authorize the reopening of Upas Street access to and from Ninth Avenue

 

Staff Recommendations:  Concur with the Escondido Transportation Commission who unanimously approved this action (Engineering Division:  Ed Domingue)

 

            RESOLUTION NO. 2007-174

7.                  ADOPTION OF (1) THE 2006 INTERNATIONAL WILDLAND URBAN INTERFACE CODES AND LOCAL AMENDMENTS AND (2) 2007 FIRE CODES AND LOCAL AMENDMENTS; AND (3) SET A PUBLIC HEARING Request Council (1) Introduce an Ordinance to adopt the 2006 International Wildland Urban Interface Codes with local amendments; (2) Introduce an Ordinance to adopt the 2007 California Fire Code and local amends; and (3) set a public hearing on December 19, 2007 at 4:00 p.m.

8.                  BUDGET ALLOCATION FOR FIRE-RELATED REPAIRS AND CLEAN UP Request Council designate funds from the unallocated General Fund reserves for the purpose of (1) Assisting homeowners in the demolition and clean up of properties destroyed by the recent firestorm; and (2) Repairing damage sustained by Kit Carson Park resulting from its use as Cal Fire's Base Camp. It is anticipated that cost recovery will occur from property insurance companies and Cal Fire

of the month at 4:00 and 7:30 p.m.
