5.                  BUDGET ADJUSTMENT: POLICE AND FIRE FACILITY  (CENTRE CITY AND DECATUR PROJECT) Request Council authorize a budget adjustment in the amount of $100,000, and authorize Change Orders in excess of 10% as allowed by current policy

6.                  PURCHASE ORDER ADJUSTMENTS FOR WATER TREATMENT PLANT CHEMICALS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006-07 Request Council authorize an increase to the amount of four water treatment chemical purchase orders to cover the remainder of the fiscal year. The adjustment will increase chemical purchases by an aggregate amount of $172,000 from funds available in the Water Budget

7.                  FINAL MAP FOR ESCONDIDO TRACT 863, LOCATED AT 485 NORTH CITRUS AVENUE Request Council authorize staff to file a Final Map for Tract 863, a one-lot residential condominium conversion subdivision, located at 485 North Citrus Avenue

 

Staff Recommendations:  Approval, subject to the conditions set by the Planning Commission on January 27, 2004 as Resolution No. 5518, and conditions set by the City Council on March 10, 2004 as Resolution N. 2006-64 approving the Condominium Permit (Engineering Division:  Ed Domingue)

8.                  CALPERS CONTRACT AMENDMENT FOR MISCELLANEOUS EMPLOYEES:  3% AT 60 BENEFIT (Approved by Council on 3/21/07; vote: 5/0)

9.                  BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS Amend Escondido Municipal Code to change the composition of the Planning Commission, to implement compensation to the Design Review Board, and to eliminate the Environmental Advisory Board (Approved by Council on 5/2/07; vote: 5/0)

11.              MAIN LIBRARY REFURBISHMENT NEEDS PROJECTS:  BUDGET REQUEST Request Council approve an initial budget of $400,000 for those refurbishment needs at the Main Library that have been identified as healthy and safety related to ensure the effectiveness of current Library services to the community.  Staff will include the remaining refurbishment needs in the FY 2007-08 Capital Improvement Budget for Council consideration

 

Staff Recommendations:  Request Council provide direction to consider Library Building refurbishment and renovation to maintain effective library services (Community Services/Library:  Laura Mitchell))

 

12.              AMENDMENT AND RE-ADOPTION OF COUNCIL POLICIES AND RULES OF PROCEDURE FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS

13.              ORAL REPORT:  INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP ON DEPARTMENT FUNCTIONS IN PREPARATION FOR BUDGET DISCUSSIONS Request Council receive and informational report from the Police and Fire Departments, in preparation for budget discussion in June. This Workshop is the third of four designed to provide information about the scope of services provided by City departments, the number of employees needed to provide services and the cost to do so

The City Council meets regularly on the first four Wednesdays
of the month at 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.
Members of the Council also sit as the Community Development Commission
and the Mobilehome Rent Review Board.
