WITH RINCON DEL DIABLO MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT (MWD) FOR LOTS 4, 5, 6 & 7 OF WILLOWMERE GLEN (HOMELAND ACRES, UNIT #2), TM 5362 Request Council authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a water Exchange Agreement for water service with Rincon del Diablo MWD for Lots 4, 5, 6 & 7 of Willowmere Glen (Homeland Acres, Unit #2)

            RESOLUTION NO. 2007-52

6.                  HIDDEN VALLEY KIWANIS CLUB FISHING DERBY AND ALLOCATION OF CITY REVENUE DURING THE DERBY TO THE KIWANIS CLUB Request Council authorize Hidden Valley Kiwanis Club request to conduct a fishing derby at Lake Dixon on Saturday, April 28, 2007 and Sunday April 29, 2007 for the purpose of holding a fish derby/fundraiser. A portion of the revenue collected by the City on the days of the derby shall be allocated to the Kiwanis Club with a not to exceed of $4,750

            RESOLUTION NO. 2007-53

7.                  DEFERRAL OF DEVELOPMENT FEE PAYMENT FOR THE CITY SQUARE CONDOMINIUM PROJECT Request Council authorize the deferral of development fees until the grant of final occupancy for the requested 84 condominium units for the City Square Condominium Project, located in the Downtown Specific Plan Area

8.                  FISCAL YEAR 2007 OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY CALIFORNIA SEAT BELT COMPLIANCE CAMPAIGN GRANT AND BUDGET ADJUSTMENT Request Council authorize the Escondido Police Department to (1) Accept a FY 2007 California Seat Belt Compliance Campaign Grant from the Office of Traffic Safety in the amount of $39,970; (2) Authorize the Chief of Police to execute contract documents on behalf of the City and (3) Approve budget adjustments needed to spend grant funds

9.                  2006 URBAN AREA SECURITY INITIATIVE (UASI) GRANT Request Council accept a grant award in the amount of $170,000 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for the Fiscal Year 2006 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) grant

10.              2006 ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS GRANT Request Council accept a grant award in the amount of $63,362 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for the Fiscal Year 2006 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.  Funds will be used for a Firefighter wellness and fitness program

11.              2006 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM - Request Council accept a grant award in the amount of $71,000 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for the Fiscal Year 2006 Homeland Security Grant Program

12.              PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY AT 1158 & 1172 NORTH ASH STREET (LUCY T. LINNARES REVOCABLE TRUST PARCELS) PARCEL NECESSARY FOR THE ASH STREET ALIGNMENT - Request Council authorize the Real Property Manager to complete the purchase of the Lucy T. Linnares parcel for the Ash Street Realignment. This parcel is required for the project which calls for the undergrounding of utilities, street improvements, curbs and gutters and landscaping

13.              NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR UTILITY BUILDING PAD AT 475 NORTH SPRUCE STREET Request Council authorize staff to file a Notice of Completion for the Utility Building Pad at 475 North Spruce Street

14.              SOUTH GATEWAY PUBLIC ART PROJECT Request Council authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a contract with Dan Dykes Fine Art, LLC, in the amount of $160,000, to fabricate and install a public art project at the south end of Centre City Parkway

The City Council meets regularly on the first four Wednesdays
of the month at 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.
