The City Council Action Plan represents the City Council's collective vision for Escondido's future and the key activities that will be used to achieve that vision. It is developed biennially following a workshop where key policy interests are identified and discussed by the City Council and City Staff.
At its January 17, 2007, workshop the City Council identified a number of important items to include in their work plan for 2007-2008. The key policy areas identified were:
- Community Facilities & Infrastructure
- Community Outreach
- Economic Development
- Financing Council Action Plan
- General Plan Update
- Image and Appearance
- Public Safety Facilities
