The Escondido History Center office and Heritage Walk Museum Complex, featuring Escondido's first library, a Victorian house, a 1900's barn, the Bandy Blacksmith shop, the 1888 Santa Fe Depot, and a railroad car, are located in historic Grape Day Park.Established in 1976 for the nation's Bicentennial, Heritage Walk displays buildings preserved from Escondido's early days. The structures were rescued from demolition and relocated to the park, where they serve as Escondido's historical museum complex. Also included on Heritage Walk are:
