Escondido, CA - Virtual Strangers will bring high energy bluegrass to Escondido Public Library’s 2nd Saturday Concert Series, March 11, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Turrentine Room. Virtual Strangers will play their award winning music in the tradition of bluegrass legends such as Earl Monroe and Flatt and Scruggs.

Virtual Strangers is a highly talented bluegrass band made up of Mike Tatar, Sr. on banjo; Yvonne Tatar on bass; guitarist Kit Birkett; and Jon Cherry on mandolin. They have played bluegrass festivals throughout the Western United States, and their three-part harmonies and driving beats have earned them top honors in the 4 Corners Band Contest, the Arizona Bluegrass Band contest, and the Southwest Bluegrass Play-offs.

The 2nd Saturday Concert Series runs through May 2017 and features an array of classical, jazz, and other diverse musical styles. On April 8, 2017, the 2nd Saturday Concert Series welcomes Adrienne Nims and the Spirit Wind Trio.
