The Roundtable's purpose is to provide leadership in linking education and training with business, so the workforce can fulfill the labor needs of Escondido employers. Growing Escondido's own workforce will guarantee that the city will continue to be a strong competitor for business investment and job growth in the future.

The Workforce Roundtable has developed the following programs: Work in Your Home Town, Escondido ENGLISH, and Health Service Programs with Palomar Health and local high schools. It has also been involved with Escondido Education COMPACT in the development and creation of ESCO YO, a Web site that will list resources for high school students and parents.
