Adopt your neighborhood for the summer. The City will supply the trash bags and gloves and will also pick up the full bags. You only supply the labor.
Stroll through your neighborhood once per week and pick up any trash you see along the way. Have the kids help. Improve the appearance of your neighborhood and get the good invigorating feeling of "Hey, we're making a difference!"
It's easy to sign up. Call the Recycling Hotline at (760) 839-4818 and listen for "We Clean Escondido." During office hours, you can speak with someone to get started cleaning your neighborhood. If you are calling after hours, leave a message and a recycling staff member will get back to you.
